British Shooting Shotgun Series - Mid Wales
The first skeet leg of the British Shooting Shotgun Series took place this weekend at the Mid-Wales Shooting Centre in beautiful sunshine.
Amber Hill and Freddy Killander were the top senior performers on the day with each securing a gold medal in the Welsh hills.
The junior gold medal winners were Dom Cooper and Emily Hibbs.
Speaking after winning gold, Amber said: “It’s a great event to come to especially as the sun is shining. Especially because I’ve been away competing for the past month so it’s nice to be on home soil.
“It’s nice to be alongside some familiar faces but there’s also lots of younger shooters that I’ve never met before which is great – and hopefully I’ll be able to inspire more young people into the sport as well.
“It’s been a great day and I know everyone’s been enjoying it.”
Freddy said: “It’s been fantastic. Probably one of the best shoots I’ve been to in the UK and it was an amazing event to be at – and fortunately I did enough to come out with a gold medal.”
